Rib Stitch

1×1 Rib Knitting for Beginners

Hey Everyone,

Welcome to draw n stitch blogs. Today I’ve got The Rib Stitch for beginners. Ribbing is the best when it's stretchy.

This Knit series will show you everything you need to get started with knitting...

The
1 Rib Stitch is a very easy knitting pattern that creates a very Stretchy texture. You simply alternate two types of knitting techniques

This is just one  Row Repeat Design: The smooth texture is created by repeating 1 line of easy-to-remember rows and looks the same on both sides,

Rib stitch is perfect for when need stretch.
Ex- the brims of hats, sleeves of sweaters, and cuffs of socks, etc

How to Start? :  Cast On any number of stitches onto your knitting needle.

1×1 Rib Knit

Make a slipknot then Cast on any number of stitches.

1st Row: Rib stitch = 1 stitch knit, 1 stitch purl, repeat from to the end of the row.

( RS ) = ( 1 K + 1 P )

2nd Row - Repeat your 1st row but just make sure you need to check your

stitches - knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitch.

Now Just Keep Repeating: Repeat row until you get the length you desired,

once you are done with your desired length then  Bind off your stitches and close ends.
